Technology has entered our everyday environment and thus continuously interacts with our bodies. At Sport Business Day Dutch fashion designer Pauline van Dongen will show several of her projects that illustrate her view on the role of technology in fashion and sportswear as well as the potential of printed electronics. By moving beyond a mere functional understanding of technology she aims to show how wearable technology enables us to engage in new relationships and meaningful interactions with our environment.
Pauline van Dongen is a Dutch fashion designer and researcher specialized in wearable technology. Her design studio (founded in 2010) has received international recognition and is known for developing innovative garments that integrate solar cells, lighting and sensors in a sophisticated manner.
